Academy of Music and Art Announces Fall 2026 Musical: The Addams Family Young@Part
The Academy of Music and Art in Westmont is excited to announce its Fall 2026 musical, The Addams Family Young@Part!
This production marks the Academy's 37th musical, continuing a tradition of providing children and teens with a fun, welcoming environment to discover the joy of musical theatre.
Open to performers ages 7–17, The Addams Family Young@Part is designed for students of all experience levels. Whether it's a child's very first audition or they've performed in previous productions, everyone is encouraged to participate.
"You don't need any special talents or previous theatre experience," said Academy Director Chris Wilson. "Our goal is to help students build confidence, make new friends, and discover a love for performing in a positive, supportive environment."
Everyone Gets a Part
One of the Academy's long-standing traditions is that everyone who auditions receives a role. Students gain experience in singing, acting, dancing, teamwork, and public speaking while working toward four public performances in November.
Free Audition Workshops
To help students feel comfortable and prepared, the Academy will host FREE Audition Workshops on Thursday, September 10.
- 6:00 PM – Beginner Workshop
- 7:00 PM – Returning Performers Workshop
These workshops introduce students to the audition process, including singing, choreography, and audition tips in a fun, low-pressure setting.
Auditions
Auditions will be held on:
- Tuesday, September 15, 2026
- Thursday, September 17, 2026
Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 22, with performances scheduled for November 19–22, 2026.
