The Community House In Hinsdale Hosts Basketball Tournament

HINSDALE, IL —The Community House will host its annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 19. According to a release from the organization, last year 74 teams played in the tournament with Fred Hoiberg, Head Coach of the Chicago Bulls kicking off the tournament by meeting with participating players.

This event helps support recreation programs at The Community House for over 3,000 kids in surrounding communities. According to a release, co-chairs of the event are Mike Devine, Vic Galati, and Pete Tortorello.
The tournament is organized by grade/age from fourth to eighth grade and freshman/sophomore boys and girls.

Adult teams are also encouraged to register for Men’s and Women’s Open brackets and Men 35 and Over. Each team consists of 3-4 players and will play at least 2 games and receive T-shirts and wrist bands. Concessions will be provided along with a silent auction.

According to the release, registration is open now through Aug. 13. Cost for entry is $175 before Aug. 6 and $195 after. Community members are encouraged to come out and support the players.
