A group left without paying a $175 bill at a local restaurant, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Dine and dash

  • A group of suspects left Casa Margarita, 25 E. Hinsdale Ave., about 6:30 p.m. Friday without paying a $175 bill. The case is pending.

DUI

  • Margaret Lopez, 36, of Chicago, was arrested about 11 p.m. Aug. 30 at Hinsdale Avenue and Stough Street on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver, failure to yield and failure to signal when required. She refused testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 900 block of South Vine Street told police Aug. 29 that someone opened a cable TV account using the resident's identity and charged $774 worth of services. The crimes happened Feb. 1 and April 15.
  • A resident in the 600 block of North Washington Street told police Aug. 30 that someone opened a cable TV account using the resident's identity and charged $991 worth of services. The crimes happened earlier in August.
  • A resident in the 200 block of Justina Street told police Wednesday that someone withdraw $700 from the resident's bank account. The crime happened Aug. 3.

  • Eric A. Chub, 18, of Chicago, was cited about 7 a.m. Aug. 30 at Ogden Avenue and Interstate 294 on charges of no valid driver's license, improper lane use, driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and driving an uninsured vehicle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Jamie Montgomery, 37, of La Grange Park, was cited about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Ogden Avenue and County Line Road on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle with suspended insurance because of noninsurance. Montgomery was released and given a date to appear in court.
