Hinsdale Official Concerned Public Money May Go To Pavilion (patch.com) — Hinsdale residents may be interested in a new downtown pavilion at Burlington Park, where trustees just approved a $441,000 construction contract expected to be fully funded by private donations. One trustee warned that rising costs or surprises underground could push the village toward using tax dollars, while others stressed donor support and assurances that the contractor would absorb any overages.
3. Hinsdale Takes Action To Make Intersection Safer For Children (patch.com) — Hinsdale officials have installed an initial crosswalk at County Line Road and Third Street after Woodlands neighbors pushed for safer routes for children walking to school and downtown events. The village also approved a $65,000 traffic study around Monroe and Oak elementary schools, with plans to apply safety lessons to other Hinsdale school areas.

Hinsdale District 86 Mulls Tax Hike For $39M In Projects (patch.com) — Hinsdale High School District 86 board members are backing a property tax increase to fund $39 million in "life safety" projects at Central and South, including a long-delayed heating plant replacement at Central. For a median $570,000 home, taxes would rise about $83 the first year, then roughly $10 more annually over the next decade without a voter referendum.

Central, South Teaming Up With Tech Giant On AI (patch.com) — Hinsdale High School District 86 is moving ahead with a free pilot partnership with tech giant Nvidia to bring AI coursework and credentials to students at Hinsdale Central and South. While some residents worry about Big Tech and data privacy, officials say the agreement bars Nvidia from selling or misusing student data and could give local teens a leg up in AI careers.
