District 181 Earns Financial Reporting Award Of Excellence

Community Consolidated School District 181 has received the Association of School Business Officials International’s (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting award for having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability. The District was recognized for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ending 2013.

The CAFR is presented in three sections which include general information about the District, financial discussion and analysis, financial statements and schedules, demographic data, and an independent auditor’s report.

The Certificate of Excellence (COE) award confirms the District 181 Business Office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Recognition through the COE program can help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting.

Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations Gary Frisch notes, “We pride ourselves in presenting complete, accurate, timely and relevant financial reports. We strive to wisely use our resources in support of student achievement and success.”
