Football, cheerleading, swimming and other sports and activities will remain at Hinsdale South and Hinsdale Central.

HINSDALE, IL - Several sports and activities will remain at Hinsdale South and Hinsdale Central high schools. The board of education voted to reinstate the activities just one day after a $140 million bond proposition was approved by voters in Hinsdale Township High School District 86.
The IHSA-sponsored sports and activities that will no longer be cut are: bass fishing, wrestling, swimming and diving, water polo, danceline, competitive cheerleading and football. All activities associated with football, cheerleading, poms and marching band will also return, according to a newsletter from the district.
Other reinstated activities will come at a cost of no more than $300,000.
