DUIs, Theft On Video: Hinsdale Cops
Two men and a woman were charged with drunken driving, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – In the last few days, Hinsdale police handled cases involving drunken driving, a bike theft, check fraud against a business, firework damage, a stolen lawnmower and a warrant. Here is information from the latest Hinsdale police reports:
DUIs
- Marek Gerszewski, 47, of St. Charles, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. June 18 at Ogden Avenue and Washington Street on charges of DUI and improper lane use. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Jazzmin R. Cummings, 25, of Romeoville, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at 55th Street and Route 83 on charges of DUI, improper lane use, speeding and possession of open alcohol by a driver. A witness reported seeing a driver, later identified as Cummings, driving without lights and swerving between lanes. She submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit. She was in possession of an open container of alcohol. Cummings was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Nicolas C. DeLaRosa, 30, of Chicago, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, improper lane use and possession of open alcohol. Open beer cans were found in DeLaRosa's car. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Bike theft

- A person was seen on surveillance video stealing a bicycle valued at $100 from a bike rack about 2 p.m. Thursday at Hinsdale Community Pool, 500 W. Hinsdale Ave.
Fraud against business
- A suspect forged five fraudulent checks against the business checking account of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, 105 E. First St. The crimes occurred between May 7 and June 24. The case is pending.
Firework damage

- A mailbox was destroyed about 10:30 p.m. June 20 in the 5800 block of South Washington Street. A witness reported hearing a loud bang. Remnants of a firework were found next to the mailbox post.
Lawnmower stolen
- A lawnmower was stolen between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from a front yard in the 700 block of South Stough Street. It was valued at $150.
Warrant
- Victoria A. Nee, 32, of Schaumburg, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of North Monroe Street on a Berwyn warrant and charges of driving an uninsured vehicle and failing to carry a driver's license while driving a vehicle. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
