Environmental Health Basics Seminar

Thursday, September 25th, FREE, Participants are eligible for 2 CPDU's Sponsored in part by SCARCE

Attention all teachers, day-care providers, educators, preschool directors, coaches, or anyone working with children! October is Children’s Health Month!

Join SCARCE for this interactive Children’s Health Month kick off session. Participants will learn about how and why children are more susceptible to environmental pollutants in our indoor environments, especially schools and childcare facilities. The presentation will also discuss issues that contribute to environmental exposures in schools (e.g. improper use of chemicals in science and art classes and in maintaining/cleaning the school facility, poor indoor air quality, pest control, environmental asthma triggers, radon, mold). The session will also identify low-cost/no cost measures, programs and resources available to prevent or reduce environmental exposures.
