Fall Family Festival at the Clarendon Hills Park District
Celebrate the New Season on September 17
The Clarendon Hills Park District will bid farewell to summer and welcome in the autumn season at the annual Fall Family Festival, set to run between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept 17 in Prospect Park. This year's celebration will include wagon rides, a petting zoo, face painting, a hay jump, inflatables, games and activities, a pumpkin sculptor and a pumpkin roll. All attractions and admission to the event are entirely free of charge. Food and beverage vendors will also be on hand at the festival, and numerous local organizations will sponsor booths at this event. Prospect Park is located between Oxford, Norfolk, Prospect and Chicago Avenues in the heart of Clarendon Hills. Most of the Fall Family Festival activities will take place at the Norfolk Avenue entrance to the park. Visitors to the festival will also be able to see "Jurassic Jimmy," a life-sized sculpture of a T-rex dinosaur brought to Prospect Park earlier this year by the Clarendon Hills Park Foundation, working in cooperation with the Clarendon Hills Park District. "Jurassic Jimmy's" permanent home is located adjacent to the Prospect Park Pond. For updated information about the upcoming Fall Family Festival, please visit www.clarendonhillsparkdistrict.org.
