Last year, 42 children—from toddlers to tweens—braved chilly weather and windy conditions to compete for pumpkin-hurling glory. Altogether, testing their skill and strength in three age brackets, they threw pumpkins 335 feet, or roughly the length of a football field.
This time around, children between 2 and 5 years old, 6 to 9 years old, and 10 to 13 years old are again welcome to compete, at no charge. The club will award prizes to the top three finishers for all the events, and in all age brackets. There will be a variety of games and activities for all to play, and food will be available for sale.
