Five Seasons Indoor Turkey Trot Nov. 15th Aids Family in Need

For some families, making ends meet is a treadmill-like experience—as soon as they feel caught up with the expenses of day-to-day living, there always seems to be something else that threatens to push them over the edge.

That economic instability can heighten around the holidays, even as parents are striving to provide gifts that will make it a festive and memorable time for their children.

Against that backdrop, Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Burr Ridge on Saturday, November 15th is hosting the Indoor Turkey Trot in support of a needy area family. The event is from 10 a.m. to Noon and revolves around treadmills in the club at 6901 S. Madison.

For 30 minutes, each participant will log as much distance as possible on the treadmill. One winner will receive a $50 gift card, along with a medal, a certificate. He or she will also get to select one family from among a number of families who have been nominated to receive a food basket.

Both club members and members of the public can participate at no charge. In addition, those who do not wish to participate are welcome to come and cheer on participants and make a donation toward the assembling of the food basket.
