Guards Punched, Gun Under Seat: Hinsdale Cops

A patient strikes three security officers at Hinsdale hospital, report says.

HINSDALE, IL — In the last few days, Hinsdale police handled cases involving three security guards being punched, a gun found under a person's car seat, a car stolen while the owner watched and DUIs. Here is information from the latest Hinsdale police reports:

  • A patient at the Hinsdale hospital punched three security officers while they were performing their duties shortly before midnight Monday. The case is pending. The crime was listed as an aggravated battery.
  • Dominique Shaquille Richards, 26, of Bolingbrook, was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Nov. 9 at Madison Street and Glendale Avenue on charges of unlawful possession of weapons by a convicted felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (no firearm owner's identification card), disobeying a traffic control device and operating an uninsured vehicle. Police found a loaded handgun under a front passenger seat. Richards was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 2018 Audi Q5 was stolen about 2 p.m. Sunday from a parking lot in the 100 block of South Vine Street. See the video. The victim, who was unloading items, looked outside and saw the suspect drive away in her car. Stolen were the victim's purse valued at $750, a driver's license, credit cards, $90 in cash, a winter jacket and a key fob. The car was later recovered in the 3600 block of West Fifth Avenue in Chicago.
  • A customer at Firestone, 150 E. Ogden Ave., fraudulently used a credit card March 31. The suspect paid $441 for services using the fraudulent card. The credit card company contacted the business April 23. Firestone reported the crime to police Nov. 10.
  • Abdul Rahman Mohamed Aduib, 30, of Bridgeview, was arrested shortly before midnight Nov. 10 at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of DUI, speeding, improper lane use and operating an uninsured vehicle. The suspect submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Eddie Brandon Chau, 39, of Chicago, was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of DUI, speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
