Here's The Plan For Hinsdale's Parking Meters

The meters have been covered up since the village enacted new three-hour parking zones last year.

HINSDALE, IL – The downtown Hinsdale parking meters have been covered up since the village enacted three-hour parking zones last year.

At Tuesday's Village Board meeting, Trustee Luke Stifflear asked whether Hinsdale would remove them to beautify downtown.

Village Manager Kathleen Gargano said that was the plan.

"One of the things we want to determine is the permanency of the outdoor dining design because we will be repurposing the planter boxes to go in place of the meters that have been removed," she said.

The parking meter issue came up during a discussion about parking restrictions.
