Hinsdale Central's Virus Caseload Drops By Half
Hinsdale South still has a low level of coronavirus cases, according to district numbers.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale Central High School's coronavirus caseload dropped by half as of Friday, according to District 86.
As of Friday, the school reported 28 cases among Central students, making up about 1 percent of the student body. A week earlier, the school had 55 cases.
Hinsdale South, which is half Central's size, recorded three coronavirus cases as of Friday. That was down three from a week earlier.

South and Central's graduations are set for May 26.
For the last three months, both Central and South had seen only a handful of cases at a time. The last surge was in January.

As of Friday, nine employees in District 86 had tested positive for the coronavirus. That was down from 18 a week earlier.
In Elmhurst, York High School's number of students with the coronavirus decreased by one case as of Friday, to 113. And Lyons Township High School rose by a dozen cases in the last week, to 40.
