In recent months, the majority of Erik Held, Kathleen Hirsman, Terri Walker and Cynthia Hanson approved a raise for Prentiss and sided with the superintendent on formal complaints about her performance.
Meanwhile, members Debbie Levinthal, Peggy James and Jeff Waters voted against Prentiss.
Board members are likely to become blunter behind closed doors.
Twice in the last couple of years, the attorney general has found that the Elmhurst school board improperly held closed sessions.
In both cases, the Elmhurst district released the recordings, showing more candor among officials in closed settings.
The Hinsdale closed session is set for 6:30 p.m. at the district's central office, 5500 S. Grant St.
