Hinsdale Dealership Victim Of Theft: Cops
Incidents of damage and identity theft are reported to the police.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
Theft
- Someone phoned Hinsdale Land Rover, 336 E. Ogden Ave., and ordered vehicle parts totaling $5,287 using a credit card. The dealership was then contacted by the credit card company and was informed the cardholder did not authorize the transactions. The theft happened July 18 and was reported a week later. The case is pending.
Damage

- A car's driver's side windows were shattered by some type of object between 3:15 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. Thursday. It was parked on the street near North and Grant streets. Nothing was reported missing.
- A rock was thrown through a window between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 23 at a house in the 200 block of North Grant Street. It was reported three days later. The case is pending.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 10 block of Spinning Wheel Road told police Wednesday that someone made fraudulent transactions on the resident's bank account.
- A resident in the 200 block of North Vine Street told police Wednesday that someone attempted to finance a car using the resident's identity.
