Hinsdale Endocrinologist Sarah Nadeem, MD, joins Loyola Medicine

Sarah Nadeem, M.D., F.A.C.E. (Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology), CCD (Certified Clinical Densitometrist) brings her expertise to Loyola Medicine’s endocrinology program. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She also is an assistant professor in the division of Endocrinology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.

Dr. Nadeem specializes in treating patients with osteoporosis, bone and calcium diseases, thyroid disorders, pituitary disease and diabetes.

Dr. Nadeem, who lives in the Hinsdale area, said she sees patients with a wide variety of issues and diseases. “Patients often are anxious prior to their visit,” Dr. Nadeem said. “I make it a priority to help ease their anxiety by listening to them, explaining the evaluation and tests that need to be done and by giving them treatment options. This helps them gain understanding about their disease and plays an important role in their treatment as well.”

Before joining Loyola, Dr. Nadeem was a consulting endocrinologist for health systems that included the Mayo Clinic, Provena and Advocate.

Dr. Nadeem earned her medical degree from the Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich., and her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

She is active in research, and recently published an article in Sleep Medicine Clinics about fatigue in endocrine disorders.

She has served on the membership committee for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and is a member of the Endocrine Society and International Society of Clinical Densitometry.

Dr. Nadeem sees patients at the Loyola Center for Health at Burr Ridge, Loyola Center for Health at Hickory Hills, Loyola Center for Health at Elmhurst at 300 N. York Rd., and the Loyola Outpatient Center located on the main medical campus in Maywood.
