"You've been a very dedicated trustee, come prepared, ask good questions and help us work through difficult issues," Cauley told Haarlow.

Haarlow was appointed at Tuesday's meeting to serve as a member of the Plan Commission.

Haarlow called Cauley's leadership "terrific" and said the village has greatly benefitted from her colleagues' work.
