This Hinsdale Park To Get New Playground
The village plans to replace the oldest of its 11 playgrounds.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale trustees this week approved spending $177,000 for a new playground for Burns Field Park.
According to a village memo, the lifespan of a playground is two decades. Burns Field's is 21 years old, the oldest among the village's 11 playgrounds.
Some of the replacement parts for Burns Field's playground cannot be found anymore, the memo said. Some playground features have been removed over time.

"The equipment is going to be arranged differently, and part of the reason it has to be arranged differently is you have fall zones and safety zones," he said. "Each (piece of equipment) is a little different on how far your fall zone has to be."
The village is set to pay the money for the new playground to GameTime.
