Hinsdale Playground To Be Replaced: Village
The project, estimated to cost $180,000, is scheduled for this year.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale is targeting the Burns Field Park playground for replacement.
According to a village memo, the project is slated for this year. It is one of 11 village-owned playgrounds.
The lifespan of a playground is generally 20 years, with Burns Field as the oldest at 21 years, Michael Hayes, the village's parks superintendent, said in the memo.

The project's estimated cost is $180,000.
On Tuesday, Hayes is set to present options for the village at a meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission.

In the memo, Hayes said the time to get the playground equipment is about six months. The playground would be shut down for about a month for the project, depending on the weather, vendor and equipment, he said.
