Hinsdale Poised To Keep Interim Fire Chief
The fire department has had three chiefs this year, with two of them retiring.
HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale trustees plan to vote Thursday on a two-year contract for Jeffrey Pindelski to serve as fire chief.
In May, the Village Board chose Pindelski as interim chief.
Under a proposed agreement, Pindelski would get a pay raise, with his salary now $3,625 a week. The village did not give the amount of the increase in its meeting documents.

In early April, then-Deputy Chief Jon Carlson became the interim chief upon the retirement of John Giannelli, who was chief for seven years.
Carlson, a 26-year fire department employee, was at the helm for less than two months, retiring May 30. Carlson said he did so because the board decided to eliminate the deputy chief's position.
