Hinsdale Pool Opens Later this Month

HINSDALE, IL —The Hinsdale Park District's Hinsdale Community Swimming Pool will open for the season on Saturday, May 27. Pre-season hours will run from May 27 to June 9, and regular hours will begin on June 12 and run until Aug. 13.

Pre-season hours are: Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. The pool will be open on Memorial Day from noon to 6 p.m. The pool is closed from May 30-June 2. From June 5-9, the pool will be open from 4 to 8 p.m.

When regular hours begin on June 12, open swim will take place Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. On July 4, the pool will be open from 12:30 to 6 p.m.

The park district said the pool facility features a 50 meter pool with a 25 yard "L" shaped design and ranges in depth from 3.5 to 5 feet. There is also a diving pool with a drop slide and two one-meter and one three-meter diving boards.

The facility also features a wading pool including a zero depth walk-in wading pool with water play features and sand play. According to the park district, there is a sunbathing area, bathhouse with locker rooms and a concession area.

The Hinsdale Community Swimming Pool is located at 500 W. Hinsdale Ave.
