Hinsdale Woman Competing to be Kelly Ripa's Co-host

We may have a new TV star in our midst. 

Hinsdale resident Kristen Venetsanopoulos is one of 25 people being considered to become Kelly Ripa's co-host for a day on LIVE! with Kelly, according to Lauren McTague, the show's publicity coordinator.

That's right—a Hinsdale mom could become Regis Philbin's replacement. (Again, for a day.)

Venetsanopoulos was one of thousands of people who submitted 60-second audition clips and she made the first cut. (Her video can be seen above.)

The best part is her Hinsdale neighbors can help her move on:

"Viewers are invited to log onto livewithkelly.tv and check out the Top 25," an email from McTague reads. "They can champion the videos they like the best by 'liking,' tweeting, or commenting, and the Top Ten semi-finalists will be announced on Monday’s show."

The LIVE! audience will then select the top five, and those finalists will travel to New York the week of July 16 to compete for a chance to co-host with Ripa on June 24.
