Hinsdale Testing Fire Hydrants

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Fire Department and Hinsdale Water Department will be flow testing fire hydrants during the next few weeks. The village said this testing is being performed to ensure the available supply of water for fire protection purposes.

According to the release, the general areas tested will be between The Lane and 59th Street, and Madison and County Line Road.

Residents may notice discoloration of the water during this process. If this happens, run a faucet of cold water until it runs clear; this could take up to five minutes.
