Hinsdale Trustee Leaving Village Board

A resident involved in historic preservation is running for trustee.

HINSDALE, IL – Like in 2021, Hinsdale is not expected to see any competition for the Village Board next year, barring any write-in candidates.

Three residents have filed for the three trustee seats up in the April 4 election. Monday was the filing deadline.

The candidates are incumbents Luke Stifflear and Scott Banke and resident Alexis Braden, a member of the village's Historic Preservation Commission.

Not running again is Trustee Laurel Haarlow, who was elected in 2019.

Stifflear was elected in 2015 and Banke in 2019.

In 2019, Haarlow, Banke and Stifflear ran as a slate.

Candidates in nearby towns such as Western Springs and Burr Ridge are also running unopposed in the April election.

Darien, however, is seeing competition in all three of its alderman races. Darien Mayor Joseph Marchese faces no opponent.
