Upscale Resale Boutique to Open in Hinsdale
Frill will be owner Beverly Moran's second consignment store; she also owns Swap Shop Resale Boutique in Glen Ellyn.
Beverly Moran has always liked shopping in consignment stores.
"I've gone to resale shops since I was 16," Moran said.
However, it wasn't until a year-and-a-half ago that Moran decided to open up , an upscale consignment shop in Glen Ellyn. Now, Moran is preparing to open a second store in Hinsdale, called Frill, which is expected to open at 49 S. Washington St. on March 15.

As soon as Moran opened her Glen Ellyn location, she decided that her second store should be located in Hinsdale.
"There's nothing [like Frill] out this way," Moran said. "Hinsdale needs this."

Moran and the staff at Frill are very specific about the merchandise they take. She said all her items are "upscale" and in really good shape. Most are no older than a couple of years, unless they are vintage items.
Moran has been accepting consignment pieces at the Hinsdale location since March 1, and she already has a wide variety of pieces.
"We have a lot of Tory Burch, Trina Turk, BCBG, and Nanette Lepore," she said.
Other popular pieces that Moran has sold at her Glen Ellyn store are vintage Chanel clothing and jewelry, as well as handbags and pieces by Chloe.
"We can't even keep Louis Vuitton in stock," she said.
Moran also keeps a waitlist for pieces by designers such as Gucci and Hermes.
Because her merchandise is of such high quality, Moran refers to Frill as "boutique-like" and said that it's "not your typical resale shop." Moran is excited to expand her clientele with the opening of the Hinsdale location. She and her staff keep clientele lists of customers' most-wanted pieces and keep an eye out for certain items.
"We are known in Glen Ellyn to be really into customer service," she said. "We bend over backwards for customers."
Once Frill opens on March 15, the store will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays; and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The store will be closed on Sundays.
