HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale Village President Tom Cauley brought the public into the loop Tuesday about the unexpected addition of a top administrative job.

On Tuesday, Cauley told the Village Board about hiring former La Grange Village Manager Andrianna Peterson as the new Hinsdale assistant manager. Patch clued in its readers two weeks ago.

Cauley said Peterson would work closely with Assistant Village Manager Bradley Bloom, who is retiring in February.

When he leaves, Bloom will have been in his position for seven years. He was Hinsdale's police chief for 14 years before that.

"We're all going to miss Brad," Cauley said. "But it's good to have them both working at the same time, so Brad can pass his wealth of knowledge to Andri."

Cauley said Peterson would absorb the duties of Bloom and Trevor Bosack, the former assistant to the village manager. Cauley said Bosack left to pursue other opportunities in August.

According to Bosack's LinkedIn page, he worked in Hinsdale for a year and is now the director of parks and recreation in Lake in the Hills, a McHenry County suburb.

Peterson took her new job Aug. 22. She resigned in La Grange the previous week.

Peterson's is set to make $140,000 a year, which is lower than her $182,000 salary in La Grange.

Over the last couple of weeks, Cauley and Village Manager Kathleen Gargano have not returned Patch's requests for comment on the addition of an administrative position.
