Mental Health Challenges and Resources
Union Church hosts panel discussion moderated by NBC's Dick Johnson

Depression, anxiety and addiction are just three of the many mental health problems that affect almost everyone either first hand or through family members and friends.
Union Church of Hinsdale has been exploring the issue of mental health for the last several months. Conversations and listening sessions revealed concern about a lack of information on where to find help, parents’ increasing concern over the mental health of their children, the fear that seeking treatment for mental illness could jeopardize one’s career, and the fact that so many people with mental illness end up in jail when what they really need is treatment.
In an effort to help erase the stigma and learn about available resources, challenges to treatment and actions underway to address these issues, the church is hosting a panel discussion ”Let’s Talk About it: Mental Health Challenges and Resources in Hinsdale” on Sunday, January 17th, 11:15 – 12:30 pm at the church located at 137 S Garfield in Hinsdale.
