New Hinsdale D181 Headquarters Picked
The district is projected to save money over the next three decades.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale School District 181 has chosen a new building for its headquarters, with officials touting long-term savings.
This week, the school board voted to buy the office building at 133 Ogden Ave., which is next to the BP gas station at Ogden and York Road. The building's price is about $3 million.
Now, the district is renting 12,000 square feet in the building at 115 55th St., with an annual rent of $206,685, according to a statement Tuesday. The current headquarters is just outside the district's boundaries.

"If the District is able to negotiate any necessary lease buyouts, and there are no further issues with due diligence, the District could close on the purchase without further Board action," the district's statement said.
The purchase is expected to save money over the next three decades.
