Open House Allows Resident Discussion On 55th Street Plans

The open house meeting will be held on Aug. 14.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL — An open house meeting at the Christian Church of Clarendon Hills will allow residents to discuss the 55th Street sub-area planning study. According to a release from the village, the meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 14.

The village said it will be looking for feedback from the community about the plan's ideas on land use and zoning, urban design and community character, annexation policy and more topics.

According to the project's website, this plan includes the area located at the south of 55th Street, bound by South Kingery Highway to the east, 59th Street to the south, Richmond Avenue on the west, and 55th Street to the north. The Village desires to develop a Sub-Area Plan that provides long range planning guidance for the area as it related to the community as a whole, according to the website.
