'Poor' Hinsdale Streets To Be Resurfaced

The village said it has examined the condition of all of its streets.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale expects to spend $700,000 next year to resurface a half mile of streets.

Here are the planned projects:

  • Monroe Street, from Sixth to Eighth streets (two blocks), rated "poor"
  • Fifth Street, from Lincoln Street to Garfield Avenue (two blocks), rated "poor"
  • Quincy Street, from North to Hickory streets (one block), rated "poor"
  • Bodin Street, south of Eighth Street to north of Ninth Street (one block). This project is set to fix mid-block settling.
  • Parking lot at Veeck Park, near 701 E. Chicago Ave., rated "poor"

In a memo, the village said it rated the condition of all village streets.

On Tuesday, the Village Board plans to vote on paying $94,420 to HR Green for the engineering.
