Semi-Truck Fire In Downtown Hinsdale: Cops

Firefighters responded shortly before 5 a.m., authorities said. The truck was towed away later in the morning.

HINSDALE, IL – A delivery truck for Einstein Bros. Bagels was on fire early Thursday morning in downtown Hinsdale, authorities said.

The semi-truck's rear brakes overheated after locking up, so the vehicle started on fire, Police Chief Brian King said in an email.

Firefighters responded shortly before 5 a.m. Einstein is at 54 S. Washington St.

The bed of the semi-truck sustained fire damage on both sides, King said. The truck was towed away later in the morning.
