Shipshewana Adventures at the Clarendon Hills Park District

July 25 Adult Tour Planned by the Clarendon Hills Park District

The Clarendon Hills Park District's adult program will journey to Shipshewana, Indiana, on Tuesday, July 25 for an educational and informative tour of the Midwest's well known Amish settlement. The trip will begin at the Menna-Hof Visitor's Center and Museum, before stopping at the area's large flea market. There will even be additional time set aside to shop in downtown Shipshewana, where the local Amish often arrive by horse and buggy. Lunch will be served at a local Amish restaurant - make sure you save some room for pie. The $78.00 tour fee includes luxury motor coach transportation, lunch and all museum admissions. There will be a dinner stop on the way back to Clarendon Hills. Transportation will depart from and return to the Church of the Holy Nativity, 275 S. Richmond Avenue, Clarendon Hills, on the day of the trip. Our departure time is set for 7:00 a.m. - the tour will return to the area by 7:30 p.m.. (There is a one hour time difference in Indiana. Rest stops will be provided on both legs of the tour.) Please register at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center, 315 E. Chicago Avenue, no later than Monday, June 20. For information, please call 630-323-2626.
