Solar Eclipse 2017: Weather Forecast, And When To See It In Hinsdale And Clarendon Hills

HINSDALE-CLARENDON HILLS, IL — Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills residents may not be able to see a total solar eclipse on Monday, but a partial solar eclipse will be visible. To see the total eclipse, you would have to travel further south to southern Illinois.

It should be a clear enough day to see the partial solar eclipse in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills. According to the National Weather Service, Monday's forecast is set to be partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. The high will be near 87 degrees.

In Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills, the eclipse will peak at 1:19:18 p.m. when the moon obscures 87.3 percent of the sun, according to Vox's interactive map. In Illinois, the eclipse will begin at around 11:52 a.m. and will end at around 2:47 p.m.
