Monroe Elementary industrial fan believed to have been stolen on election night; hundreds fraudulently charged to man's bank card; DUI arrest on Madison Street.

According to the Hinsdale Police Department, a $300 industrial fan was reported stolen on April 15 from Monroe Elementary School, 210 N. Madison.

The identity of the suspect is unknown, but the theft is believed to have happened some time between 7 p.m. April 5 and 8 a.m. April 6, when the school was being used as an election night polling place.

"That was the last time it was used," Hinsdale Deputy Police Chief Mark Wodka said of the large blue fan that sat near the gym entrance. "It was in the hallway being used to prop a door while polling was going on ... Initially it was thought that it was missing or misplaced. Now it's determined to have been stolen."
