Uniquely Thursdays and Fine Arts Festival Kick Off the Summer in Hinsdale

(Hinsdale) - This year, Uniquely Thursdays and the Hinsdale Fine Arts Festival both take over Burlington Park in the first week of June. Burlington Park is located between Garfield and Washington, just off Chicago Avenue. On June 9th, Uniquely Thursdays kicks off for the 14th consecutive year, and June 11-12th is the 43rd annual Fine Arts Festival, both brought to you by the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce. Beginning on Thursday, June 9th Edward-Elmhurst Health will present Uniquely Thursdays. Over the course of 10 weeks, they will showcase 10 of the best local bands Chicago has to offer. The event begins at 6 pm each Thursday and features a beer and wine tent sponsored by Leinenkugel, Miller lite and Handcraft Wines. There will be additional vendors each week from local businesses enticing the crowds with giveaways, and catering to our family friendly environment. Food vendors will also be on site. Presenting sponsors include Renewal by Andersen and CONLON Christies International Real Estate. Over 100 juried artists from across the United States will exhibit and sell works of art in painting, jewelry, photography, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and fiber arts. All artwork is original and has been created by the exhibiting artists. A designated area during the Fine Arts show will spotlight Kids Activities sponsored by The Community House. The Hinsdale Rotary and other food and beverage vendors will be on site as well. Admission to both events is free to the general public.
