Watch Not Stolen After All: Hinsdale Cops

A Hinsdale resident is among the latest local DUI arrests.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Watch found

  • On Feb. 13, a woman told police that her $15,200 watch was stolen from the center console of her car while it was at Fuller's Car Wash, 102 W. Chicago Ave. A few days after the report, she told police she had found the watch in the car. The original report is now listed as unfounded.

DUIs

  • Curry O. Christy, 42, of Hinsdale, was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday at County Line Road and Minneola Street on charges of DUI and driving on the wrong side of the road. Christy refused testing to determine blood-alcohol content. Christy was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Michael J. Ciamprone, 31, of Countryside, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Feb. 19 in the 600 block of West Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol and possession of alcohol by a driver. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Scam

  • A resident in the 600 block of South Lincoln Street told police that a person posing as a cable company employee called her and instructed her to buy gift cards to pay off her account balance. The incident was Feb. 17. The case is pending.

Porch piracy

  • A package was stolen Jan. 19 from the porch of a house in the 300 block of Claymoor Road. It was reported Thursday.

Harassment

  • A resident in the 500 block of Highland Road told police Monday that she was harassed in social media posts in October.
