1. Football roundup: Hersey's forfeit victory is a program milestone (dailyherald.com) — Hoffman Estates football fans can celebrate a 13–0 shutout of Schaumburg, powered by Braylin Scales' 154 rushing yards and a stingy Hawks defense that allowed just 82 rushing yards. The roundup also notes other suburban results, but Hoffman Estates' balanced offense, strong kicking, and lockdown secondary stand out as a key Mid-Suburban League performance.

2. Hoffman Estates Park District to receive pair of statewide honors at Best of the Best Gala (dailyherald.com) — Hoffman Estates residents are being recognized statewide as the local park district, volunteer Oluremi Odediran, and Ascension St. Alexius hospital earn top Illinois honors for community service and partnership. Their long-running collaboration has brought free health screenings, clinics, and wellness events to thousands of locals, highlighting how volunteers and healthcare partners are expanding access to recreation and care in town.

3. Will Ospreay Sends Strong Message To WWE After AEW All Out (pwmania.com) — Hoffman Estates again took center stage in pro wrestling as AEW's All Out pay-per-view at NOW Arena sold out and featured Will Ospreay defending his world title against Jon Moxley. Ospreay later boasted that fans in the Chicago area chose AEW over WWE's competing show in Rosemont, underscoring the town's growing role in major wrestling events.

4. Daniel & Dixie Dyer (ottumwaradio.com) — Hoffman Estates readers may want to know that Dixie Rae Dyer, a longtime Chicagoland resident, died earlier this year at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, while her husband Dan passed away at home in Streamwood. Their joint graveside service will be held October 10 in Richland, giving family and friends time to plan travel and pay their respects.

5. Tony Khan Leads 10-Bell Salute For PAC At Ring Of Honor Tapings In Jacksonville (wrestlingnews.co) — Hoffman Estates was the site of PAC's final match, as he wrestled Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out at NOW Arena the night before he was found unresponsive in Des Plaines.
