1 Death, 9 Cases Of Coronavirus At Victorian Village: IDPH
The May 15 data shows an increase of two cases over the past week at Victorian Village in Homer Glen.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Victorian Village in Homer Glen has nine reported cases of coronavirus and one related death, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported May 15. The May 15 data represents an increase of two cases, both of which are employees.
Previously, on May 8, the facility had reported a total of seven cases, five of which were employees and two resident cases. There has been one resident death at the facility.
Spokesperson Sheila King said the two employees who recently tested positive are both recovering at home.

IDPH is now sharing the case numbers of residents and staff of long-term care facilities. The data is reported starting from the beginning of the coronavirus response on Jan. 24. Numbers are current as of May 15.
The cases included in the data include lab confirmed cases and cases meeting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention outbreak case definition. Facilities report the data to local health departments, who then report to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Victorian Village is managed by Providence Life Services, which manages facilities in Illinois, Michigan and Indiana. Its Illinois facilities include Park Place of Elmhurst, Providence Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Downers Grove, Saratoga Grove in Downers Grove, Village Woods in Crete, Arbor Place in Lisle, and Thomas Place in Orland Park.
Victorian Village, 12600 W. Renaissance Circle, has 50 certified beds, according to Medicare's website. Medicare rates the facility "above average" overall. More specifically, it is rated as "average" for health inspections, "much above average" for staffing and "above average" for quality measures.
In Will County, IDPH is reporting there are 691 cases of coronavirus in long-term care facilities and 116 related deaths. Meadowbrook Manor of Bolingbrook has the highest number of cases in the county, as well as the highest number of coronavirus related deaths in Will County. The facility has 184 cases, and 26 related deaths, according to IDPH.
