1 DUI, 24 Seat Belt Citations From Lockport PD Halloween Enforcement

The department also made one drug arrest and issued seven speeding citations.

LOCKPORT, IL — During its Halloween enforcement effort, Lockport Police said it made one DUI arrest and one drug arrest, and issued 24 seat belt citations, seven speeding citations and 19 other moving/equipment violations.

Law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois participated in the Halloween enforcement effort, focusing on getting impaired drivers off the roads and more motorists buckled up, according to the department.

The enforcement campaign took place Oct. 16-Oct. 31, with emphasis placed during the late-night hours.

The law enforcement campaign was made possible by federal highway safety funds
administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the statewide Drive
Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns.
