1 DUI Arrest During Lockport Police St. Patrick's Day Enforcement

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Police issued 32 seat belt citation and made one DUI arrest during its St. Patrick's Day enforcement last week, according to a release from the department.

The department also issued six speeding citations, four citations for no valid driver's license or suspended driver's license, and 15 other moving/equipment violations.

“We strongly enforce traffic laws for one reason – to save lives,” police said in a release.

The Lockport Police Department joined forces with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign. The St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
