Attempted Burglary Reported At Rink's Gun And Sport

The sheriff's office is asking the public for assistance in identifying the offender.

LOCKPORT, IL — An attempted burglary was reported earlier this week at Rink's Gun and Sport, and the Will County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying an offender.

The attempted burglary happened at 3:16 a.m. Dec. 4 at the business at 14363 Archer Ave. in Lockport, the sheriff's office said.

The offender is described as a male, wearing a black/gray glove on his right hand, and a white T-shirt covering his face, according to the sheriff's office. He is also wearing gray sweatpants, black hoodie, black and white Levi sandals, and carrying a pink backpack.

The offender was seen on video surveillance walking up from northbound Archer Avenue onto the property, the sheriff's office said.
