Battery, DUIs: Lockport Blotter

Lockport Police reports through June 13.

The following information is from the Lockport Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DUI

  • Abel Andrade-Pintor, 47, Joliet, was arrested June 10 at State Street for DUI-alcohol. He was issued citations for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured vehicle and DUI. Andrade-Pintor was released on bond pending his appearance in Will County Court.
  • Samuel Sandoval, 22, Romeoville, was arrested June 12 at 10th Avenue and Hamilton for DUI-alcohol. Sandoval was remanded to the custody of the Will County Jail.

Possession of Controlled Substance

  • Lorena Faith Pretzer, 28, Lockport, was arrested June 10 on Lawrence Avenue for possession of controlled substance. Pretzer was also wanted on an in-state warrant for DUI-alcohol. Pretzer was transported to the Will County jail pending appearance in Will County Court.
  • Christine Corczak, 48, Lockport, was arrested June 10 on Lawrence Avenue for possession of controlled substance. Corczak was transported to the Will County jail pending appearance in Will County Court.

Battery

  • Jose Magana, 24, Lockport, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. June 5 for battery, assault and possession of stolen items. Lockport Police were dispatched to a residence in Lockport in response to a burglary complaint. The victim identified the offender as Magana. On the night of the incident the victim was sleeping and was awakened by a knock on the door. When the victim opened the door he was grabbed by the neck by Magana, and Magana his way into the victim's apartment. The victim fled the scene. When the victim returned to his apartment he discovered that a quantity of money, a TV set, laptops and other items were missing. Magana was located and arrested. He posted bond pending his appearance in Will County Court.

Retail Theft

  • Cindy Leeper, 57, Lockport, was arrested June 13 at Wal-Mart for retail theft after she stole several men's suits. Leeper was placed under arrest and transported to the LPD, she posted bond and was released pending her appearance in Lockport Municipal Court.
  • Khalidah Woods, 30, Joliet, was arrested June 10 at Wal-Mart for retail theft. Woods was released on bond pending her appearance in Will County Court.

Warrant

  • Ryan Norman, 29, Romeoville, was arrested June 13 in the 400 block of New Avenue for a warrant by Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation. Norman was processed at the LPD. He was then remanded to the custody of the Will County Jail.
