Butler School hosts professional development day for educators
Discuss Illinois' recently adopted Music Learning Standards
More than 40 area music educators gathered at Butler School on March 20 for a series of professional development workshops.
Offered by the Illinois Music Educators Association and the Will County Regional Office of Education, the Complimentary Professional Development Day touched on:
- Using Technology to Assess Student Learning in the Music Classroom
- Illinois Music Learning Standards
- Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning in the Music Classroom
- Comprehensive Musicianship Through Performance
Speakers included Keith Ozsvath, Madeline Wood, Jacqueline Kelly, Mary Lynn Doherty and Bill Rank.
