The most pressing issues facing our (board, district, etc.) are _______, and this is what I intend to do about them.
I feel one of the most pressing issues is going to be bringing peace and equality to the board. Bringing more transparency and integrity to the village. I know the position of clerk is not a voting position, however, I feel the people I am running with are fair-minded and ready to face the challenges that will be presented.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Honestly, right after our petitions to run were submitted, my opposition reached out to me. We wished each other the best of luck and also made sure that regardless of the outcome that we would still be friendly. I'm a wife and a mother first and foremost, just as she is. Yvonne and I both agreed that we only want to do what is best for Homer Glen and its residents.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)? Or what changes would you like to see?
N/A
Describe the other issues or ideas that define your campaign platform:

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have had many volunteer positions within the community. I have been a long time volunteer and board member for the Homer Stallions, youth football program. I am one of the co-founders and board members for Elevate Wrestling Academy. I also continue to help my son, Austin, put together a lemonade stand that he named Cups 4 Cancer. Austin has successfully raised close to 20K over the past 5 years and 100% of the proceeds were donated to The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation in Orland Park, IL
Why should voters trust you?
I'm a neighbor, a mom who volunteers at school and local events. I'm the mom who buys donuts wholesale at the farmers market in the summer; the woman who stands in line to check out at the local Meijer. I'm not an outsider or career politician ......I'm a community member willing to work hard because I'm not only working for Homer Glen residents but also my family and all the families in our community.
If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?
Through hard work and dedication, I want to continue to balance my family life and making Homer Glen a better town to live in.
What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the handling of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?
N/A
Do you support the Illinois assault weapons ban, and would you support a local assault weapons ban in this community?
N/A
Do you think the current board has done enough to support racial equality? If not, what specifically should be done to do so?
N/A
Do you support the SAFE-T Act? Why or why not?
N/A
What are your thoughts on the crime rate in your community, and what more can be done to combat crime — especially violent crime — in town?
N/A
What is your view of the city's/village's approach to commercial and residential development?
I would like to see a bit more commercial development or small businesses in Homer Glen but I do not feel we need to build more houses. Our schools in 33C are bursting at the seams and over crowded.
When it comes to development, what are some key areas for improvement or additions you feel are most wanted by residents? What will need to be done to make this happen?
N/A
Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?
N/A

I believe the Village of Homer Glen needs new, fresh voices to help usher us forward
