HOMER GLEN, IL — If you'd like some help installing a child car seat safely, you can head out to the safety check event hosted by Homer Township Fire Protection District March 19. The event is free and will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at village hall, 14240 W. 151st St.
According to the village, certified child passenger safety technicians will instruct parents and caregivers on proper use and installation of child restraints. If you'd like to have your car seat checked or learn how to install a seat, then just stop by the event with your car and car seat.
