D92 Presents Reopening Plan: Offers Blended, Full Remote Learning
The district is presenting two options to families: a blended model combining in-person and remote learning, or full remote learning.
HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — Will County School District 92 has presented a return to school plan to parents for review. Currently, the district is presenting two options to families: a blended model combining in-person and remote learning, or full remote learning.
"Please keep in mind that details in this plan will change based on emerging guidance from the following entities:Illinois Department of Public Health, Illinois State Board of Education and Center for Disease Control," the district said on its website. "We will continue to seek out your feedback to create the safest plan possible for our return to school."
The district said in its plan that it is no longer able to offer a full in-person option due to the status of the coronavirus.

If families choose a blended model, students will be divided by last name, attending in-person two days a week and remote learning for the remaining three. The district said the blended model is intended to mirror the schedule of Lockport Township High school.
One day per week would be remote learning for all students, so the district could deep clean, according to the plan.
