Fire Causes Extensive Damage To Home In Lockport: Fire Dept.
The fire was quickly brought under control but there was extensive damage to the home.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township Fire Protection District responded to a house fire on Thursday morning in the 300 block of Nobes Avenue. The fire was reported at 6:48 a.m. at the home in unincorporated Lockport Township, the department said.
Firefighters arrived to find a working fire in a small, single-family residence. The department said the fire was quickly brought under control but there was extensive damage to the home.
The elderly occupant, who was home at the time, was able to evacuate prior to the fire department's arrival. The department said there were no injuries reported and the cause of this fire is under investigation by Lockport fire investigators.
