Fire Causes Extensive Damage To Lockport Home: Fire District

LOCKPORT, IL — A Lockport home was extensively damaged after a house fire Tuesday morning, the Lockport Township Fire Protection District said. Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 1900 block of Jack Pine Way at 3 a.m. Tuesday.

The district said crews arrived to find a two-story house with heavy fire on the second floor toward the front of the home. The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes, but caused extensive damage throughout the home.

No injuries were reported, and the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire, the district said. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
