Fire Damages Garage Of Lockport Home: Lockport Township Fire District

LOCKPORT, IL — A garage fire caused damage to a home in Lockport on Saturday morning, according to the Lockport Township Fire Protection District.

The fire district said it responded at 6 a.m. Saturday to a reported fire on Swift Arrow Drive in Lockport. Firefighters arrived and found a fire in the garage of the home.

The occupants were home at the time of the incident and were able to evacuate, the fire district said. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, and damage was limited to the garage.

The incident was elevated to the full-still alarm level, bringing in equipment and personnel from East Joliet, Homer, New Lenox, Northwest Homer, and Plainfield to help cover the rest of the fire district.
